Welcome to Wright Piano Studio

 Hi! Thanks so much for your interest in my studio! My emphasis is in beginning to intermediate level teaching including preschool. My goal is to instill a love of music by infusing joy and fun into the learning process. I use multiple teaching resources but my favorite method books are Faber and Wunderkeys. I teach 30 minute, individual, weekly lessons at $25 a lesson although occasionally these lessons will be in group. I also have free piano parties about every 6 to 8 weeks in my home. These parties are to give the students lots of positive performance experiences and a sense of community. They love it! I also have 2 recitals yearly in December and May. Students also get access to a wonderful practice app called Tonara which will have all their assignments, links to information and videos, and will auto track their practice. In lessons I incorporate not only note recognition and other music reading skills, but also music history, rhythm, ear training, improvision, and reading modern chord progressions. My hope is that I will equip students to not only become proficient solo piano performers, but that they can also perform well with others in marching bands, church ensembles, choirs, and anything else their heart desires. Music is a lifelong passion of mine and that's my goal to impart to all those that come to my studio!

My name is Christine Wright. I'm a Madison native. I fondly remember my first lessons at 8 years old! I enjoyed not only playing piano, but also flute in the band and singing in choir and ensemble at Westminster Christian Academy where I graduated. I then attended the University of Mobile where I received my degree in Music Education, enjoyed playing keyboard in the college recruitment band, Vision, and married my sweetheart, Doug. I've been blessed to teach out of my home for over 20 years. I have two wonderful daughters and 3 fur babies, a dog and 2 cats. I love to travel and am always looking for suggestions for new locations!
